Korra Prediction

I’m guessing everyone else has already come to this conclusion, but if not, does anyone else think that Amon is the same guy from the flashbacks?  Maybe Aang used energybending on him to “end” his threat to Republic City, and the loss of his bending ability drove him mad(der).  Considering Amon’s threat to cleanse the impurities from benders, it would add a layer of “you are what you hate” or “if I can’t have it no one can” to Amon.
