Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?

Well this is incredible.

Arrested Development Season 4

I’m sure that people who were already Arrested Development fans have watched or plan on watching the new season that is available on Netflix. If you are not watching the show, I highly recommend it (especially if you haven’t seen the original run, which you should do right now). This new season is not only very funny, it is a neat experiment in form. Each episode takes place from one character’s point of view, and as the season goes on, the various characters’ stories interact, and scenes that held one meaning in one character’s point of view take on new meaning when we see how events were influenced by other characters. This structure requires careful viewing (which, let’s be honest, has always been one of Arrested Development’s signatures) and patience, but it is also very rewarding.

Last Week’s Arrested Development Countdown in review.

I’ve often said that I won’t believe that Arrested Development is truly returning until I see footage.

Now I believe.  And I’m excited.

I see this image and fear that the season will begin with the Bluth family dead in the shipping container, necessitating an investigation by Jimmy McNulty.

Netflix announced that it doesn’t have any plans to do more Arrested Development after this forthcoming season. So, essentially, it’s been canceled by Netflix now.

Guess there isn’t always money in the Banana Stand.

This Sunday on The Simpsons, Benedict Cumberbatch plays both a Hugh Grant-ian Prime Minister and Severus Snape. And we’ve got exclusive video of his appearance right over here.

The video is funny, and Cumberbatch does a great job as both Grant and Rickman.  But I’m pretty sure The Simpsons ripped off an Arrested Development joke.
